Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor who is best known as a character on the well-known television series Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Since his time at college, Christopher Meloni has been attracted to the world of acting. He pursued a degree in acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. His characters in television are gaining him lots of attention. He is able to play characters from both good and bad side in the law enforcement system. He can attract the attention of his audience with ease. He was the serial killer role in the first TV show he appeared in and later played the role of an NYPD detective. He was repeatedly recognized for his work in the highly coveted Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. The actor is famous by his blue piercing eyes that have been the trademark of his character and has helped him portray tough characters with charisma. He was listed as one of People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
